Welcome Thank you for taking the time to visit our church website. New Beginning Church is located on Co. Rd. 55 in Ashford, Alabama. In this small, rural community, God has begun to build a great church. This church has seen Him move in mighty ways. From new buildings, to new ministries, we continue to be amazed at what can be accomplished when we keep our focus on Jesus Christ. As you navigate this website, we hope you become more familiar with the church and what God is doing. Sharon and I would like to invite you to come and experience the excitement of New Beginning Church. A church where you are accepted as you are. WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God as it's author, salvation for it's end, and truth without mixture of error for it's matter. It is inerrant and infallible in its original manuscript. It reveals the prinicples by which God judges us; and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which human conduct, creed, and religious opinions should be tried.
We believe in the one true and living God, the sovereign creator and sustainer of all things. He is infinite, eternal, and perfect in all His attributes and is unchangeable. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes but without division of nature, essence, or being. God is the Father and Jesus Christ is His son. The Son is the promised Messiah of the Old Testament. Jesus Christ who was born of the Virgin Mary, hence the God-Man. He lived a sinless life. He died on a cross to redeeem man and physically rose again from the dead to justify the believer, ascended to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for us, and in the Fathers time will return in visible, personal form to overthrow sin and judge the world. The Holy Spirit is the One sent from God to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, to regenerate and cleanse from sin. He is the resident guide, teacher, and strengthener of the believer.
We believe that salvation is wholly of God, and by the way of His grace. It is not based on human merit or works. It involves the redemption of the whole person, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, santification, and glorification.
We believe in the bodliy resurrection of Jesus Christ, and in the final bodily resurrection of all men, both just and unjust. Accordingly, we believe that the bodies of men after death return to the dust, but their spirits return immediately to God, the righteous to rest with Him, the wicked to be reserved under darkness to the day of judgment. We believe that those who commit their life to Jesus Christ during his life will be raised to everlasting life, but those who are not committed to Jesus will be raised to everlasting condemnation.
